Back from Milwaukee and had agreat time spreading the ROX Love up in the midwest!

Qualification for the Milwaukee Shootout required a team to win a Jose Cuervo event or finish 2nd to a team that had already qualified. In our first tournament together as a team, Raquel Ferreira and I made it to the finals of the Jose Cuervo in Belmar! We finished 2nd behind Jennifer Kropp and Whitney Pavlik who had already qualified which secured us a spot in the Milwauke Shootout! We were beyond excited to be able to participate in this event since only 4 teams would be earning spots to attend!

We arrived in Milwaukee on Friday morning and were picked up by the IMG staff. We immediately went to check in to our hotel, The Iron Horse, which is absolutely beautiful!! We were then taken to the site where we did an interview with Visit Milwaukee! for their preview piece for the weekend. You can check out our clip at the links below.

Saturday morning started out with a media spot for Jose Cuervo at Bradford Beach doing a live interview with FOX, telling the viewers about the tournament, which reaches out to the 900,000 tv households in Milwaukee. Shortly after my preparations for play at 10:00 am started
it became the hottest day of the year in Milwaukee so it was a little rough playing, but still fun as always! We won all of our matches in pool play so we came out first! Before our last match NBC came out and did an interview with me about the tournament! This was a huge media weekend for us!
Sunday we played Kropp and Pavlik in the semi final match and won 15-13 in the 3rd game stopping their streak of appearing in every final in 2012. We ended up losing in the finals to Jennifer Fopma and Brooke Sweat 17-15 in the 3rd! The competition over the weekend was really intense and helped us become a better team! We have had a couple weekends off so we have been using that to train hard and are looking forward to Manhattan beach on August 25th!
