Jose Cuervo Volleyball Tournament Chicago Style!

Last weekend Mother Nature wasn’t agreeing with the athletes attending the Jose Tournament in Chicago but that wasn’t going to stop our Rox Pros from having a successful weekend. Kristen Batt,Adrian Carambula, CJ Macias and Michelle Moriarty all pushed through the difficulties that the weather gave them.

It was a complete downpour to where you couldn’t wear glasses. If you did wear glasses you would have water spots on them and if you didn’t, water droplets would be pounding in your eyes” says Batt.  At one point our players had to dodge small pieces of hail. The weather did not want to work with the players of the Jose Tournament but our players knew just how to work with the weather.“ This weekend was a good weekend for us. It proved that we are the athletes we have been training to be.” Says Batt. Batt and her partner Raquel Ferreira placed 3rd while Moriarty and Kaitlin Sather placed 13th, Macias and Matt Henderson placed 13th and Carambula and Braidy Halverson pushed for 7th place.
