Killin’ It In Just 2 Games

Talk about blowing minds away… with a lot of hard work, and perseverance Excel NW 16 Rox has become ranked as 5th in the nation in the 16’s division! These ROX Stars are on a roll!

They just recently won the NCVA Presidents Day Tournament in San Jose, CA and it seemed to be a rather easy task prior to the finals, beating every team in just 2 games. During the finals they realized it was not going to be as easy as thought. They were up against the roaring Absolute Volleyball Academy from North California, who was the #1 seeded team in the tournament and ranked #13 in the nation. Dressed to impress, in their black Kona ½ Sleeve Rox Volleyball Jerseys, they were ready to take the court. With their powerful hitting and strong blocking, Excel came out on top, beating Absolute VBC once again winning in just two games, 25-15, 25-22. Outside hitter, Brooke Van Sickle led the team with 80 kills and 10 blocks, middle blocker Jasmine Gross showed off her skills with 21.5 blocks and 51 kills and Nicole Peterson added another 54 kills!

Would you believe us if we told you they also showed no mercy at the University of Oregon MLK tournament? Well they didn’t! They waltzed right on by every volleyball team also beating them all in just a whopping 2 games! As they continue to compete for #1 in their national tournaments, Excel NW has decided competing in the 18’s division locally would best prepare them for the intense volleyball competition that lies ahead.

Combining their skills with their compelling drive, Excel NW 16 Rox is quickly making a name for themselves in the volleyball world. They have 6 tournaments left and we couldn’t be more excited to see what else this standout volleyball team has in store! Keep up the great work girls; we're rooting for you girls!
