Get the low down on Mintonette Sports

What’s hotter than Santa on a summer day in Mexico? Mintonette Sports VBC and they ignited their flame back in 2005.

Starting out with a whopping 24 teams that flame was much more than a flicker! Max Miller, a volleyball junkie and Mintonette VBC founder, gave notice to the central Ohio area when he realized the need for a higher level of training, competition and exposure. Max was a volleyball superstar at Western Kentucky University and knew just what the athletes in the Ohio Central Region needed to succeed.

In 2009 Rox rep, Jaime Oelke opened Mintonette up to a new level of customzation with our new Roxamation line. On October 12th 2012, Mintonette and Rox made their relationship status official and started their partnership in style with the Roxamation Absolute Jersey. Mintonette since then has been known to tie fashion in with their performance every where they go. Especially at USAV Nationals this past year when they brought home the American Bronze Medal with their 17’s team, and the American National Championship with their 13’s team. We are happy to have Mintonette on our side of the court and hope to provide them with their volleyball gear for years to come!

• Mintonette’s Slogan: “Get Low!"

• Max says : “ Rox has the coolest jerseys on the block! The kids get plenty of attention everywhere they go!”

OK Charge 17 Rox wins with speed and their ability to fight

If you can describe this team in one word it's scrappy. Oklahoma Charge 17 Rox may not be the tallest team in the gym, but they are definitely one of the fastest; priding themselves on never giving up and fighting for every point. The team has excellent chemistry on and off the court and it shows in their play. Their passing and defense is what has carried them to the Gold bracket in all but one tournament this year. Every player has a passion for volleyball and puts 100% into the team. Their team motto is "do work", which is exactly what they do; working on and off the court to win. Team ROX girls not only excel in volleyball, but they are well-rounded students and young women. They are leaders and are active in community service. Some of the standout players include:

#11 Lauren Winslow | Setter and Team Captain: Lauren is the glue that holds this team together. She is a mild mannered leader that keeps the team steady. She runs a quick  5-1 offense and makes big plays in big games.

#13 Bradi Ryan | Outside Hitter: Bradi is what you call a "big banger". She is a quick hitter with a heavy arm. She is also a core part of our defense and passing. Bradi received MVP at the Oklahoma Region Championships.

Great job girls! We are proud to have you as part of the ROX Family!
